The Creation of Erth

In the beginning, before we were what we are now, there was nothing. But, that nothing came the Akasha and so, from the nothing came the elements. How this came to be is beyond the knowing of us, and those who have tried have lost their sanity. From the elements came the Goddess and God, equals and partners, who created the Erth and those upon it. The Goddess and God have always been with us, in many forms, and with many names, but they have and will always be with us.

With the Goddess and God came the Bane. The Bane is that which may be called evil, destructive, poisonous, or dangerous to life, any life, not just human. Like the Goddess and God, the Bane was formed from the elements and as such will always be with us. With this in mind, know that the struggle for "good" and "evil." It is said that Bane is no more than the dark, the negative side of the Goddess and God. This may be. Only through study and time will we know for sure.

In union, the Goddess and God created the world, with the Goddess making the lands, the trees, and animals while the God made the sky, the sun, and the animals. Together, they made sapiens. Leaving us to our own will, for positive or negative, they watched and interjected when called upon.

Believing in the uniqueness of all creatures and the speciality of difference, the Goddess and God made many kinds of sapiens. In time, the sapiens gathered together and formed communities. From these original sapiens came the races that we know today and then, unlike today, there was no strife. It wasn't until the Bane came, that sapiens knew of hate, war, strife, and prejudice.

With the coming of the Bane, the groups of sapiens left to go their way, away from the others. With distance and separation, the groups developed cultures special to them and with the new environments they called home, came changes to their physical being as well. To show their individuality, each group took on a name and thus, the wolfen, the gnomes, the goblins, the troglodytes, the faery folk and the others that make up the primary races of Erth.

As the races developed, they did not forget their origins nor did they forget the Goddess and God, but they did begin to change slightly their views and recollections of these things. Cultural influences seeped in and altered what thoughts once were to thoughts that now are, so that they would be seperate and unlike those of the other races.
