Things you can do
Run ěnî sendmail daemons listening to different addresses, using separate mqueue directories
- Higher chance of avoiding lock contention
- Each queue directory can now have 1/n messages
- Smaller, can be searched faster
Set MinQueueAge to be a significant fraction of queue retry period
- Donít waste your time retrying sites too quickly
